One activity I always make my students do is a tour of their house. This can be done at even the super early levels of learning Russian. You can walk around the house saying things like:
это моя комната.
Then as your skills get better you can describe things more, describe what you like and don’t like and then even go into detail about what you have and don’t have (using Genitive case).
I’d been meaning to do a tour of my own home, but since I was in Pennsylvania this last weekend visiting the Falling Water home of Frank Lloyd Wright, I seized the opportunity to do a home tour of two of his homes in the area.
